Prepayment of registration fees is required. No payments will be accepted at the door.

Registrants may cancel their registration before the tournament draw date and receive a full refund.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the draw date.

No prize money will be awarded for defaulted or incomplete matches.

Events with fewer than three (3) entrants may be cancelled, combined, or modified at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.

Current TTCAN ratings will be used for all rating-restricted events. Players without a Canadian rating will be assigned a temporary tournament rating by the Referee. The TTCAN Rating System will be used as a guide.

Any unrated player who deliberately misrepresents their playing strength in order to enter a rating-restricted event may be removed from that event by the Referee.

All matches will be conducted in accordance with the current ITTF Laws of Table Tennis and ITTF Regulations.

Racquets must comply with Section 2.04 of the current ITTF Regulations. The playing surface(s) must be covered with rubber approved by the current ITTF List of Authorized Racket Coverings (LARC).

Players must wear sport shirts, shorts or skirts that contrast with the colour of the ball, together with clean, non-marking, rubber-soled indoor athletic shoes. Outdoor footwear is not be permitted in the playing area.

The default time for all matches is five (5) minutes after the scheduled match start time.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to modify the schedule, playing format, event structure, or draw where necessary to ensure the orderly conduct of the tournament.

The Tournament Referee shall have the authority to interpret and enforce these regulations. The Referee's decisions on matters relating to the conduct of play and the application of the rules are final.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to refuse an entry, reject an incomplete registration, or remove any participant whose conduct is considered unsportsmanlike, abusive, unsafe, or otherwise detrimental to the tournament or its participants.

Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous, and sportsmanlike manner at all times and to comply promptly with the directions of tournament officials and volunteers.

Safe Sport: The Edmonton Table Tennis Club is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants. All players, coaches, officials, volunteers, spectators, and other attendees are expected to comply with the ETTC Code of Conduct and all applicable Safe Sport policies. Harassment, abuse, discrimination, bullying, intimidation, violence, retaliation, or other misconduct will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, removal from the venue, disqualification from events, forfeiture of prizes, suspension of playing privileges, or referral to the appropriate governing body, without refund where applicable.

Should circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Tournament Committee—including but not limited to severe weather, facility closures, public health orders, equipment failure, or other emergencies—affect the tournament, the Committee reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, modify, or cancel all or part of the event. Any refunds in such circumstances will be at the sole discretion of the Tournament Committee after unavoidable expenses have been considered.

By registering for the tournament, participants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information for tournament administration, including registration, scheduling, communication, results publication, ratings submission, and other purposes directly related to the operation of the tournament. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

By registering for the tournament, participants grant the Edmonton Table Tennis Club (ETTC) permission to photograph, audio record, and video record them during the event. Such recordings and images remain the property of ETTC and may be used, without compensation, in tournament results, news releases, promotional materials, websites, social media, and other club publications.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to amend these regulations when necessary. Any changes will be communicated to participants as soon as reasonably practicable.
