Tournament Rules

  • Full payment of fees must be completed by the Payment Deadline or the player(s) will be removed from the draw. Payments may be made by credit card (preferred) or by e-transfer to edmontontt@gmail.com.  If paying by e-transfer, please indicate player's name.  
  • No refunds will be provided after the draw date.
  • No prize money will be awarded for defaulted or incomplete matches.
  • Participants cannot enter more than one event with the same start time.
  • Events with fewer than 3 entrants may be cancelled or modified.
  • Current TTCAN Ratings will be used for rated events. 
  • If a player has no rating in Canada, the Referee will assign a temporary one for this tournament. See TTCAN Rating System for more information.
  • If an unrated player grossly misrepresents their skill level in order to enter a rating event, the Referee may remove that player from the event.
  • Current regulations in the ITTF Laws of Table Tennis will govern match play.
  • Racquets must satisfy the requirements of Section 2.04 of the current ITTF Regulations and the racquet's playing surface(s) must be covered with rubber approved in the current LARC.
  • Only sport shirts, shorts or skirts colored differently than the ball, and clean, non-marking, rubber-soled gym shoes will be allowed in playing areas. No outside footwear.
  • The default time in all events is 5 minutes after a match start.
  • All audio and or video recordings made by representatives of Tournament Committee during the event are the property the Edmonton Table Tennis Club, and may be used in results reports or promotional materials.
